Real Recognize Real ll

I don’t know if I should be happy or pissed. I’m a big fan of VIMBY and I go to their site alot and watch videos. Shit I even got em RSS’d on my blog. Check my column on the right. I been taped a few times and some of the fam has been as well. So last night I’m online while doing laundry and I checked out the site to see if they posted video from the Real Recognize Real Event @ Vangaurd two weeks ago and I see photos I took on their homepage. I’m like, “snaps!” they seen our photos and liked em enough to put them on their site, cool. I click the link and to my surprise these cats took our branding logo off my pics and didn’t even give us photo credit. I’m like wtf that’s hella theft. If you wanted the originals you should of asked instead of taking off the site then cropping my shit.

They say blood is thicker than water. The man “upstairs” once turned water to blood and I think he did it again when A07 was created…except we maintained ..

What:

Tonight we were on our way up to hollywood, again(lol). Word got down to us in San Diego that there was an event that deserved us just as much as we wanted them. The Real Recognize Real Party and Vimby 1 yr Anniversary party put on by Crooks n Castles. So we rallied up 70% of the fam and headed north. Now if your in tune with the streets, then you know that this was the spot to be at tonight. The event featured headliners such as Memphis Bleek, Clinton Sparks, Alchemist, GLC, Diz Gibran, and more.

The Event:
We arrived in time to go get a bite to eat and talk about our plan of execution. And as always it was the same: Have fun and network. We walked in to a venue of well over 1500 ppl, from swinging women suspended 20ft in the air, bikes attached to the lighting systems. The music – by far had to be the illest. Not one top 40 song was played the whole night just mixes of east coast and west coast. They pumped everything from Mobb Deep to Tupac to Biggie to Tribe Called Quest. The Swagg level was through the roof and the atmosphere was unlike any other. Los Angeles is in itself something totally different from the San Diego that we at A07 are use to. Throughout the night we were praised for making the 2 hour drive just for this event.

Alchemist was the opening Dj followed by Clinton Sparks. We were also given a suprised peformance by LMFAO and Memphis Bleek. Vimby[Waddup!] spread the love throughout the night as well by Giving the opportunity to showcase who we are. It was definitely a star studded event. Cant wait til the next one. If you missed out…………your bad

Photoshoot: Baby Bandit

Last but not least, I shot the homie Baby Bandit. He’s got this rookie of the year swagg. He’s the young boy of the team, but dont get it twisted, my dude dude is a menace. His shoot wrap up my four hour session with em but it didnt seem like it was that long. It was good day all in all, and shoutout to the cops for harrassing us. I used their cars as props for my shoots and it worked quite well…fuckers!!!!..later and bless.

Me and “Frankie” been cool for a minute. I’ve seen my boy come a long way. If any of yall out there did yall homework you would know that he was the man behind Club Ocean when Montage was still going. Now he’s part DJ, manager, and mixtape hustler. My dude gets it in. He’s upcoming projects include, Ta East, Baby Bandit, and Smigg Dirtee In my opinion he’s one of the most versitile DJ’s in the city. Pretty cool for a dude that dont even got “DJ” in front of his name.

Just made another connect. My boy Bourica Frank put me on to one of the newest he going to be blastin off with, Tiny Beef. Dudes got swag and definitely knows how stunt on cats with red on red Cadillac Escalade. You might of seen it if you attended this year DUB car show. Beef was the very first cat I shot today when the sun was the brightest but I still managed to get it in..peace
